As compared to the Fractional CO2 Laser, fractional radiofrequency is a gentler form of dermal remodeling that can be used on all skin types and is performed by our certified aestheticians.

Lipoplasty or “Liposuction” is the removal of excess subcutaneous fat by suction through a cannula. 

Liposuction costs vary widely depending on the experience of the treating physician, the area of the body being treated and the area of the country in which the treatment occurs.  In the New Orleans area for the abdomen alone, the total treatment cost for liposuction on the abdomen will range from $7,000 to $11,000.  It also varies by the type of liposuction performed. Traditional Suction-Assisted Liposuction (SAL) w/ or w/o Tumescent is less expensive than Ultrasonic or Laser-Assisted Liposuction (UAL or LAL) or Radiofrequency-Assisted Liposuction (RFAL).  Although the latter are more expensive, they generally have better outcomes.

Although this can vary from one physician to another depending on skill and the techniques utilized, the time that a client may be restricted from work and routine exercise activity may range from a few days up to 2 weeks.  This is also client dependent and often depends on the degree of swelling, bruising and soreness following the procedure. Although a relatively safe procedure when performed by a skilled physician, liposuction can have serious complications.  These include, but are not limited to, damage to deeper structures such as nerves, blood vessels, muscles, lungs and abdominal organs, reaction to and side effects from anesthesia, deep vein thrombosis, cardiac and pulmonary complications, fat embolism, fat necrosis, seromas, bleeding, bruising, persistent swelling, infection, poor healing, changes in sensation around treated area, discomfort during and after procedure, lidocaine toxicity if tumescent liposuction, thermal burn from RFAL or UAL, asymmetry in contour and irregularities in appearance, looser skin or worsening of cellulite and need for revision surgery.

Abdominoplasty or “Tummy Tuck” is a surgical procedure usually performed by a plastic surgeon under general anesthesia where excess skin and fat is removed by excision.  After the excess skin is removed, the surgeon will pull the skin taut and suture the revised skin edges back together in a low, horizontal bikini line.

A tummy tuck will vary depending on the experience of the surgeon and the area of the country in which treatment takes place.  Often, the surgeon will quote his fee alone, which ranges from $7,000 to $12,000 for a tummy tuck in New Orleans.  However, the total cost should be considered which includes the surgeon’s fee, the anesthesia fee, recovery stay if necessary and any additional services that may be included in the completion of the treatment.  The total cost of a tummy tuck in New Orleans usually ranges from $12,000 to $18,000.

Downtime can vary depending on the surgeon, the technique used, and the client. Typically, time away from work is usually around 2 weeks and time away from exercising is usually about 6 weeks.  This can also vary greatly depending on the amount of tissue removed, the client’s level of pain following the procedure, how well the incision is healing or whether a complication has developed.  All clients are expected to wear a compression garment for 6 to 8 weeks.
