What are “vampire” procedures?
Vampire procedures utilize Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy to stimulate natural regenerative processes in targeted areas of your body. What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)?

How does PRP therapy work?

A small amount of blood is collected and placed into centrifuge.
After 10 minutes of centrifugation, the platelets are concentrated and drawn up into a syringe.
The physician activates those platelets to cause the release of 8 growth factors that would normally be used to heal injured tissue.
The platelets are injected back into the body, often in conjunction with other treatments as necessary. A specific procedure is used based on a desired result.

VAMPIRE HAIR RESTORATION
This 3 treatment protocol offers sub-dermal and intra-dermal therapy for preventing or reducing hair loss. Vampire hair restoration has great potential to stimulate the growth of hair follicles for both men and women. The growth factors in the platelets stimulate the follicles to grow hair. The hair follicles in the resting phase (telogen) may be pushed into growth, and this will appear as new hair growth. Treatment will not cause new hair follicles to grow where there were none before. Treatment will stimulate neo-vascularization and new cell growth.

During this patented, non-surgical procedure, your own PRP is injected with a small needle into your scalp and applied during microneedling. The entire session takes about 2 hours.

Vampire hair restoration procedures integrate a local anesthetic and is generally well tolerated. Depending on your pain tolerance level, you may experience discomfort during the procedure.

No. You should avoid washing your hair for 24 hours and also avoid using harsh dyes or chemicals on your hair for 48 hours. Any discomfort, redness, tightness or light swelling from the injections can be managed with an analgesic like Tylenol.
